What is your business? Alora Skin Care Spa and Wax Bar

What’s unique about the ser-vice you provide? It is done with the grace of God and a lot of love. I’m in the business of relaxation. I relax the body and rejuvenate the skin.

What’s an accomplishment that you are proudest of? Serving my country for 8 years in the Air Force.

What’s an accomplishment that you are proudest of? I am truly proud of earning my RN. I love being a nurse and helping others and next year, I will also earn my BSN.

Would you rather have the power to be invisible or the power to read minds, and why? In nursing, much of my care revolves around a pa-tient’s diagnoses and health history which for some reason many people are reluctant to share. The ability to read minds would make my job easier and would make the care I provide even better.

What’s the weirdest thing that you’ve ever eaten? Rattlesnake – My dad and I found it, killed it, and grilled it. It wasn’t bad, but I won’t say it tasted like chicken.

Brooks will offer helpful tips to help DIYers determine what they want, how to define their budget, and if they should hire professionals for those jobs that are just too big.

Sandra Taylor-Sawyer brings years of business operations and educating business owners on the roller coaster ride of business ownership. She and her husband Retired Master Sergeant Don-ald T. Sawyer, Jr. own Dream Givers, LLC and are Independent Associates of LegalShield/IDShield. Taylor-Sawyer also serves as the Director of the New Mexico Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Clovis Community College. There is a new victim of iden-tity theft every two seconds in the U.S., and the average victim spends over 60 hours and thousands of their own dol-lars to restore their identity. Taylor-Saw-yer will illustrate the main types of iden-tity theft, advise how to detect identity theft, and offer ways you can protect you and your employees.

McDowell is the Director of Pharmacy at Plains Regional Medical Center. She will illustrate the facts on vitamins and supplements and their benefits at this informative seminar.

Geri Hall“Demystifying Yoga”Saturday, August 1 @ 4:30pm

Hall founded the 575 Yoga Studio in downtown Clovis in 2014 with the hopes to share yoga with the community and make yoga accessible to everyone. She complete her yoga teacher train-ing in Reith, Austria and instructs yoga and meditation classes at her studio six days a week. During her seminar, Hall will clarify common misconceptions about yoga, the ancient Hindu disci-pline which encompasses breath con-trol, simple meditation, and bodily pos-tures to facilitate health and relaxation. Hall will also be instructing a Prenatal Yoga Group Fitness Class on Sunday at 11:00am in the Esperanza Room.

Cage Fitness is based on the structure of a championship mixed martial arts bout. It focuses on endurance, strength, power, and core through a fitness system broken up into five 5-minute rounds: Warm Up, Upper Body, Lower Body, Combo Round, and Cool Down/Core.

Megan Martinez instructs Cage Fitness classes at Force of One Martial Arts at 605 Commerce Way in Clovis, NM. Classes are only 30 minutes and are on Mondays & Thursdays at 6:30am, on Tuesdays at 6:30p.m., and on Fridays at 6:00p.m. Your first class is free and Martinez offers multiple monthly specials.
