Economic justice is a recurring theme in the Bible

We can use our consumer power to benefit others

Normal trade practices often

marginalise the poor

The movement against trade

injustice is growing

Fair Trade means…

A fair price for skill and effort

Payment in full and on time – often in advance

Safeguarding the health and education of children

Concern for the environment

Good working hours and conditions

Employment that gives dignity

Sharing the love that Jesus demonstrated to us

We can all make a practical difference

Created Representative Carol Anne sums it up: ‘We read in the Gospel of John that Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

For me, that’s what Created is all about, enabling us all, whether a Created seller in the UK or a craft worker in Sri Lanka, to have life and to live it to the full.’
