Getting to know you and me!

• Little about me– Married to Brian- 13 years– 1 son, Blake and he is going into

the 6th grade– BS degree from the University of

North Alabama– I LOVE to shop, swim, spend time

with my family, experience new things and anything outdoors.

What Are Procedures?

•Procedures are put in place for our classroom so you will know what is expected of you on a daily basis.

•This will keep us all focused and keep labs and classroom activities running smoothly.

Entering Class Procedures

•Sit in your assigned seat.•Assignment will be on the

overhead projector and “Bell Ringers” should be started immediately upon entering classroom.

•However, if there is not a bellringer or activity on the overhead projector, please sit quietly and wait for your instructions.

•All purses, bags, backpacks will be kept under your chair during class.

•If you don’t want your purse to get dirty from being placed on the floor, keep it in your locker!

Classroom Procedures

•Bring ALL books and materials to class and take them with you when you leave.

•Listen and follow instructions the FIRST time they are given.

• PLEASE participate • I want to hear what you have to

say • Make all questions and

comments relevant to the current discussion

• If your question is off the topic, write it down and ask later.

• We will have several classroom discussions throughout the year.

• We will all have the opportunity to talk.

• When it is your turn, we will all listen.

• When it is my turn, we will all listen.• When I raise my hand please freeze,

keep eyes on me, and be ready for instructions.

Absence Procedures

•PLEASE try to be here. I truly miss you when you are absent.

• It is your responsibility to make up any missed work!

•Please check with me before or after class for missed assignments.

Missed Work/Assignments

•You will not have the option to take a zero on missed assignments.

•You MUST make-up all missed work/assignments in my classroom.

Visitor/Substitute Procedures

• When someone enters the classroom, immediately there should be silence.

• Continue on with your lesson.• I am rarely out, however, if I am,

please treat the substitute with the same respect that you show me and be on your very best behavior.

Folder Procedure

•In your 1” 3 ring binder you will keep all assignments and complete bell ringers daily.

•I will hand back graded papers that will be filed in the appropriate box located on the shelf.

SAFE ZONE Procedures• This classroom is a Safe Zone.• No one is allowed to say anything ugly about

you or to you while you are here.• You are not allowed to talk about others,

and others are not allowed to talk about you.

• You are free to ask/answer questions, share your feelings, and be your true self.

• If someone calls you a name or is negative to you, they will be asked to apologize and say three positive things about you.

• We are a family unit in this class and anything you share will remain here.

• TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED!!
