WAYS TO DEAL WITH EXAM STRESS TAKE EXAMINATION AS AN EXPERIENCE AND NOT A BATTLEFIELD

BEFORE THE EXAMINATION: PREPARATION Syllabus and readings

Make notes

Study in preferred environment

Take break

Eat healthy and remain hydrated

Sleep well

Revise and do final preparation

SYLLABUS AND READINGS

Mark the portions that will be covered in your exam.

Outline the topics. Making sticky notes can be helpful. Arrange all the readings or preparation

materials. Visit libraries, refer class notes, and

collect books on required topic.

MAKE NOTES

After collecting all the readings, invest time and effort to make notes.

Firstly, go through information in text-books, class-notes and internet.

Outline all the important points. Sit calmly and then make notes creating

sense out of every outlined information.

STUDY IN ENVIRONMENT OF YOUR CHOICEChoose the environment where you can study in best possible way. Some of the student friendly study environment are: Library Coffee shop Study room Group study Park

TAKE BREAKSDon’t study continuously for an entire day. Take small breaks in between. At the break time you can do either of the mentioned things: Talk to your friend or relative Listen music Take a nap Go for a few minutes of walk Watch your favorite show Eat something light

EAT HEALTHY AND REMAIN HYDRATED

Don’t eat heavy foodEat light and healthy; like

fruits, nuts, etc.Drink lots of waterTake juicesChew gums in between

SLEEP WELL

Don’t reduce your sleep A good sleep is necessary to keep mind

active, fresh and focused. Switch off your phone Don’t keep any disturbing instruments

beside you. Sleep on time.

REVISE AND DO THE FINAL PREPARATION Once your syllabus is completed, revise properly Study in the environment similar to your exam class. Sit with a alarm clock that is set to the timing provided to you

during exam. Solve previous year question paper in provided timing. This is to build your confidence and manage timing during the time

of examination.

ON THE DAY OF EXAMINATION

Don’t panic Reach before time Drink lots of water Eat light A little caffeine can help to keep you active

AT THE TIME OF EXAMINATION

Read the questions properly Ask for help with the instructor incase you don’t understand anything. Be relaxed Take a minute of break when you get exhausted. If you forget any point, just take a deep breathe and clam your mind. Keep an eye on the time.

Take few days of breakGo out and have fun with friends just relax and don’t think much about the result
