War, Peace and Politics The artists` works were greatly

influenced by the political climate surrounding them

Some artist were political activist

Their artwork as a result reflected their political and philosophical beliefs

War, Peace and Politics They brought about a new way

of looking at the world This new way of looking was

used to counter the desensitization brought about by the invention of cameras

They did not look into their imaginations but rather took what they saw from the world and conveyed it through their perspective.

The point of the attack was to scare there was no tactical gain

Shocked by the senseless killings Picasso in one month created the piece in an achromatic colour scheme ( grey, black and white)

It is one of several in a series of extremely thin humans and animals cast out of bronze. A representation of the horrors of concentration camps.

He struggled greatly with the meaning of life.
