• Located in ETZ Elisabeth en ETZ TweeSteden, Tilburg

• Big laboratory working for serveral hospitals and general practitionairs

• 90 people staff

• Several subdepartmenst: Bloodtransfusion, Bacteriology, Media preparation/sterilisation, Virology/Molecular Biology, Serology/Immunology.

• Central reception

• 47000 molecular biological/virological samples

• 85000 bacteriological samples

• 90000 blood samples (immunology)

• 12000 blood/transfusion bags

Classical way, new analyzer

- Placed on Monday and in routine on Friday- Employees learn in parts- Take long time training- Lot of mistakes, cost lot off money and time- Instruction of supplier not enough

TWI introduced - LMMI

- We have already all processen in SOP (standard operating procedure)- That not standard way of working, handling- We trained 11 employees in TWI-job instruction- Agreement : all new analyzers, new processes, bottlenecks

2 examples TWI - LMMI

Vision:- 19 persons, 4h training (9,5 workingdays)- 4 job-breakdowns- Without problems new analyzer- After training <10 questions- Employees like the way of training- Feel comfortable now

Phoenix:- 21 persons, 1 day training (21 workingdays)- 8 job-breakdowns- Everybody can work with the system- Everybody same training- Same way of working now- Few questions afterwards- Can solve problems by themselves

• Lot of time training people. Again…again…

• Just a few people do it the right way
