How we caption with Tegrity

Additional Benefits Can upload the closed-caption file as

additional learning resource for students in additional content section

Captioning makes it easier for students to learn spelling and obscure terms

Can translate transcripts and have subtitles (dual language lectures)

“Searchability”

Accuracy in sync & Pros/Cons Accuracy: Up- to-US!

By default is around 70-80% accuracy Enhancement: semi-automatic fix (available)

(3x time)

Pros: Cost: $25 100% accuracy in sync Money stays “in house” Students learn

Cons: Time consuming

What we’d like to see change

Moving the closed-captioning under the Instructional Video Mobile users can see closed captions Bigger space more text = higher

level of accuracy! Additional Contents:

Copied at the same time when a user copy a course: in compliance with sections 508 (actual script is included)
