9 Personal productivity lessons taught by the good the bad and the ugly.

Our environment, the way we work and even what we work on is constantly subject to

change…

Change is the second constant in life, the first being death.

We are all poncho wearing mule riding drifters.

The winds of change can blow us off course with ease...

The landscape we’re crossing was designed to break any attempt by the

unworthy to cross it.

It is unforgiving and treacherous.

Be that as it may, we all know that there’s gold to be made, if you are up for the challenge.

That’s why we take the journey, that’s why we try to better ourselves…

We’re after the gold.

There are truths that must be embraced. Some are good, others bad and some are just plain

ugly.

Here are some Pearls of Productive Wisdom from three industrious prospectors we love…

Some people may have a temporary advantage over you. Don’t be impressed…

Someday, they might find themselves without a gun. Until then, as long as you’re not the one

holding the gun, you dig.

Life is fickle that way.

A good gun is ok, but a great tune hits the target

You have your own personal work style. It probably fits you and you alone.

Whether perfectly or not, depends on the amount of time you invest tuning it.

Think big! No successful enterprise was ever handed on a silver platter.

Work hard and meet obstacles head on.

To reach the top, you’ll have to do what others won’t.

There’s no such thing as the “perfect time”. Conditions will never be perfect.

If you won’t act, someone else will.

…Get the gold!

Talking will get you nowhere

Talking is NOT Doing

Talking = Procrastinating

Stress can turn even the easiest task into a mess you can’t control.

Don’t wait for the last minute.

When the devil bites, he bites hard!

Things are not what they seem, you have to see the big picture!

Sometimes, it is not the fastest gun that gets the gold.

Often, it’s the person who’s able to anticipate the moves of others, someone who plans.

Hit it while it’s hot… Just Do It…

Use any cliché you’d like.

There’s time for plans and there’s time for actions.

The sooner you act, the faster you get the gold!

The third constant in life is work.

No matter how hard you work today, tomorrow is a brand new day.

So save some for tomorrow…

You can’t control the amount of work you have, you can only control the way you work!

Work smart, take breaks, unwind and regroup.

…And always make sure your Next Action counts!
