The Titan Tell-All is a bi-weekly newsletter highlighting the awesome instruction and events going on around TSMS. There are SO many great things going on, it is hard to catch them all! If you, or someone you know, has an outstanding idea that should be showcased, please let Ashley Roberts know! Mrs. Dougherty’s “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” photo with her sister and her friends!  Still smiling  after 26.2 miles.  WOW!

Mrs. Duermeyer and Mrs. Richer’s class PBL got off to a BANG this week with singing, dancing, costumes, sound effects, salt dough islands and topographic maps!

U.S History students collaborate to complete Frayer Models while analyzing the Constitution

Mrs. Dougherty uses the random pick tool in Active Inspire to keep her students thinking and on their toes!

Mrs. Stewart’s students experiment with purpose and form of poetry by using pages they had already read in their independent choice novel and turning the words on the page into a new purpose.

7th graders in Mrs. Moreland’s ELA block, use paint chips to visually display the spectrum of “mild” to “hot” adjectives! Mrs. Salan

has done it again with one of her self-created games! Her students LOVE the competition and fill the room with laughter!

Algebra Students in Mrs. Rains, Mrs. Fant and Mrs. Dougherty’s class use the C.B.R software to re-create time/distance graphs.

Scientists in Mrs. Drechsler’s class become human Punnett Squares in this life-sized demonstration!

Students in Ms. Charlie’s class use Play-Doh to create mountains, then cut the layers to create topographic maps. Talk about hands-on discovery!!

IMPROVEMENT Mrs. Winkley uses a variety of Status Checks to visually display her students level of understanding as well as their background knowledge!

Mrs. Mason uses a Radar Chart to display how closely her students feel connected to a particular topic before beginning the lesson.

Mrs. Kamenicky asks students to take part in analyzing the first benchmark results. She says this was an easy and quick way to determine the most missed questions and possible misconceptions.
