Worth County High School is asking that everyone wear RED on
September 8 to promote the message: “Stop and Think.” Let’s End Dis-
tracted Driving!.
Worth County High School is seeking input in the revision
and creation of the School Compact and the Parent Involvement Pol-
icy .The School Compact is an agreement created jointly by the
school, parents, and students and is designed to help all students suc-
cessfully meet school goals. The Parent Involvement Policy de-
scribes how the school will implement required schoolwide parental
involvement components .
We would like to hear from parents of WCHS students on
what strategies they will use at home to support their child in meet-
ing school goals.
Please take a few minutes of your time to share what you as
a parent will do to help your child be successful during the 2014-
2015 school term. Your input will be combined with other responses
in order for WCHS to jointly create the School Compact and Paren-
tal Involvement Policy.
Please contact WCHS Parent Coordinator, Kathy Conger
at 229-777-8439 or email kconger@worthschools.net with any com-
ments or input. I will be more than happy to set up an appointment at
your convenience to come in and meet regarding the school compact
and parent involvement policy. You may also mail responses to
Worth County High School. The mailing address is 406 West King
St., Sylvester, GA 31791. Please make all responses to the attention
of Kathy Conger.

Please send a parent note or doctor’s
excuse when your child is absent from
school. Students are limited to 8 parent
notes per school term. If a student is
sent home by the school nurse students
need to bring a parent note or doctors
excuse as well. Even though the nurse
sends them home doesn’t excuse them
for missing classes.
After school tutoring for Math

from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Math tutoring will be
located in Mrs. McCleary’s

The Elementary and Secondary Education Assistance Act of 1965 (ESEA)[Section 1111 (6)(A)] These regulations allow you to learn more about your child’s teachers’ training and credentials. We are happy to provide this
information to you. At any time, you may ask:
Whether the teacher met state qualifications and certification requirements for the grade level and subject he/she is teach-ing,
Whether the teacher received an emergency or conditional certificate through which state qualifications were waived, and
What undergraduate or graduate degrees the teacher holds, including graduate certificates and additional degrees, and
major(s) or area(s) of concentration. You may also ask whether your child receives help from a paraprofessional. If your
child receives this assistance, we can provide you with information about the paraprofessional’s qualifications.
Our staff is committed to helping your child develop the academic knowledge and critical thinking he/she needs to succeed
in school and beyond. That commitment includes making sure that all of our teachers and paraprofessionals are highly skilled.
