The New Religious Education Agreed Syllabus
Between January and June 2020 we will be holding training events
throughout the County, introducing the new SACRE Agreed Syllabus
for RE for the coming 5 years.
The training is open to all Derbyshire and Derby City schools and
academies, and all attending schools will receive a copy of the new
syllabus and guidance for all supporting digital materials.
Based on the new OFSTED approach
of ‘intent, implement, impact’, the
one-day course focuses on practical
classroom ideas and strategies,
enabling teachers to get to grips with
the new syllabus and find out how
to apply and use it successfully in
their schools.
The course will be led by members of
the RE Today Adviser Team, who
have written the syllabus. They have
a wide national reputation for
practicality and excellence in RE
CPD.
See over for a full list of upcoming
training dates and locations.
The course is designed for
secondary school RE
teachers, subject leaders,
HLTAs who teach RE,
headteachers, governors and
other interested stakeholders.
Discounts are available for
multiple delegates attending
from the same school.
