ENTRY PROCESS All countries through the corresponding NOC, must send their Sport Entry requests in the official forms that the Organizing Committee will send at the latest at 24:00 hours (Colombian time) on February 20, 2018. They must indicate in the form the sports in which they will participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games “Barranquilla 2018”. (The forms that will be published in the official WEB site “Barranquilla 2018”). If recognized by the Pan American Confederation of said sport and CACSO, Associate Members may also be allowed to participate.
ENTRY BY NUMBERThe Entry by Number forms (indicating the number of participants in each individual event and per team) shall be sent to the Organizing Committee of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 at the latest before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia’s time) of April 20, 2018 according to CACSO’s Regulation, Chapter VIII.
ENTRY BY NAMEFor each eligible athlete to participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 it is necessary to fill out an entry by name form that should be contemplated by NOCs and will be received by the Organizing Committee before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia’s time) of Wednesday June 20, 2018 according CACSO’s Regulations, Chapter VIII.
Each NOC shall send the entry by number and entry by name forms in the official forms provided by the Organizing Committee, to be delivered six months before the Games. If you have any doubt or for clarification pur-poses, the Organizing Committee has this e-mail address at your disposal: inscripciones@baq2018.com
MINIMUM PARTICIPATION For an event to be considered official at least five (5) representations must participate from the same number of National Olympic Committees. In the event one or more representations, after the Technical Meeting takes place, may not participate due to force majeure (verified by CACSO) the event will be carried out with a minimum of four (4) representations of the same number of National Olympic Committees.

GENERAL RULES The competitions of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 will be carried out according to CACSO’s Statute and the corresponding International Federation Regulation in force during the Games. The cases not foreseen in the above-mentioned regulations will be solved as follows:
1. General nature cases will be solved according to CACSO’s Statute and according to the Central American and Caribbean Games Regulation.
2. Technical nature cases will be solved according to the procedures of the Pan American Confederation or a Continental Organization.
UNIFORMS AND SPORTS EQUIPMENT The Central American and Caribbean Games Regulation and the corres-ponding International Federation regulations must be followed as well as Rule 51 of the IOC, as per the rules established for NOCs in the Guidelines for the Use of Manufacturers Trademarks.
PARTICIPATIONOnly NOCs recognized by CACSO, whose National Badminton Federations members of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) may enter athletes in the Badminton competition of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018. The associated members recognized by CACSO may also participate if they are recognized by CONCECABA.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COMPETITORS According to the quota set by CACSO the Badminton competition will have a maximum of sixty two (62) athletes in both gender categories. Each NOC may enter a maximum of eight (8) athletes, four (4) women and four (4) men, as long as they meet the Badminton qualifying criteria for the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018.The maximum participation per country is as follows:
Women’s Individual maximum 2 participants per country Men’s Individual maximum 2 participants per country Women’s Doubles maximum 2 pairs per country Men’s Doubles maximum 2 pairs per country Mixed Doubles maximum 2 pairs per country

ELEGIBILITYAn athlete may participate, provided he or she complies with the requi-rements set in the Central American and Caribbean Organization’s Re-gulation (CACSO) and in the one corresponding to the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
ATHLETES’ PARTICIPATION∞ The participation category is open.
∞ The participants’ uniform must comply with the International Badminton provisions in force.
∞ An athlete may participate provided he or she has satisfied the entry pro-cedures set by CACSO.
∞ A combination of athletes from different countries is not allowed for double events, men’s women’s or mixed.
TECHNICAL OFFICIALS The international Technical Officials will be appointed by the Pan American Badminton Confederation, and the Colombian Badminton Federation will appoint the local officials.
DOPING CONTROL Doping control will be done according to CACSO’s Medical Commission requirements, according to the corresponding International Federation Regulation and will follow the 2018 version of standards of the World Anti Doping Agency procedures (WADA).
TRAINING FACILITIES Access will be allowed only to accredited team members. There is no pu-blic access allowed. Equipment shall follow the requirements of the co-rresponding International Federation.
