The present map shows basic topographic features such as transportation, hydrology and settlementsin the area of Ispra (Italy). These basic topographic features are derived from public datasets, refinedby means of visual interpretation of pre-event aerial orthoimages.The estimated geometric accuracy of this product is 5 m CE90 or better, from native positionalaccuracy of the background satellite image.The estimated thematic accuracy of this product is 85% or better, as it is based on visual interpretationof recognizable items on very high resolution optical imagery.Only the area enclosed by the Area of Interest has been analyzed.Map produced on 17/11/2014 by e-GEOS under contract 257219 with the European Commission. The products elaborated in the framework of current mapping in rush mode activation are realized tothe best of our ability, within a very short time frame during a crisis, optimising the available data andinformation. All geographic information has limitations due to scale, resolution, date and interpretationof the original data sources. The products are compliant with GIO-EMS RUSH Product Portfoliospecif ications.

Delivery formats are GeoTIFF, GeoPDF, GeoJPEG and vectors (shapefile and KML formats).Heavy rainfall starting on 10 November affected the regions of Liguria, Piemonte. The new rainfallcame on top of the past flooding events from last October and immediately caused severe floods andlandslides in the eastern territory of Liguria region and in the northern area of Piemonte region.Hundreds of people have been evacuated from the affected areas while 3 persons lost their lives.Moreover heavy rainfall has hit for several days Lombardia. The Lake Maggiore water levels are highand several populated places around the lake are now flooded.
