Standard Deck Mount Skylights

• Dual Flashing System: – Continuous aluminum

welded flashing– 5 x 7 pre-bent flashing– GUARANTEED Against

Leaks• One Complete Package:– No additional boxes– No additional assembly

required

• Specifically designed to fit the American rafter system:– Minimizes the work and time

required for installation– Installs 1/3 Less Time versus top

competition– The rough opening is ½” larger

than the frame size. – 14” and 22” Models fit perfectly

in 16” and 24” rafters– 30” and 46” Models fit perfectly

in two 16” and 24” rafters.

• After determining and chalking your rough opening:– Saw the opening

between the rafters• This leaves you with

your opening

• You may now felt the roof deck

• Also you may run the shingles up the opening as seen in the diagram

• Remove skylight from the box

• Perimeter Flashing is already welded/installed onto the unit.

• Extend the hold down straps perpendicular to the unit and slightly toward the center.

• Allow hold down straps to pass through rough opening.

• Wrap the hold down straps to the rafter

• Nail or screw into place

• Lay your first row of shingles up to the skylight

• Insert step flashing into step flashing retainer and on top of shingles.

• Lay shingle on top of pre-bent step flashing.

• Repeat up roof• Last piece of step

flashing is tucked into step flashing pocket

• Rotate into step flashing retainer and slide into step flashing pocket.

• Finish installing shingles• Top shingle should butt

against the header perimeter flashing.

• Install dry-wall into trim grooves– Accommodates 5/8” and

1/2” dry-wall.• CONGRATULATIONS!! You

have successfully installed a Starlight Skylight.
