Approved by Health Canada in 2006. As of 2013, breast implants in Canada are manufactured only by two companies: Allergan and Mentor.

“Gummy bear” implants are filled with a much thicker and denser silicone gel. When you cut into these implants , the

silicone does not run or ooze out all over the place. It’s almost like cutting into a gummy bear.

If you cut into an old style silicone implant, the liquid

silicone will run out freely.

A skilled surgeon can make both saline and silicone implants look good, using techniques to match the implant size to your body dimensions

(Dimensional Breast Augmentation).

Silicone cohesive gel implants have a big advantage over the saline implants because they feel much more natural, and are much more softer.

There is less likelihood of rippling as well. Note: the thinner you are, the more important this is going to be for

you.
