InstallationTheeasiestwaytogetstartedisbyvisitinghttps://apps.shopify.com/prodigi-print-on-demandandclicking “Addapp”atthetop.Theinstallationitselfwillbeautomaticandoncefinishedyou’llhaveeverythingready togo.We’llevencreateanewaccountforyouaspartoftheprocess.

Creating your first product

Upload your artwork

Whenyoufirstopenuptheapp,youwillbepresentedwiththeoptiontouploadyourartwork.Youcanuploadupto5PNG,JPGorTIFFimagesatoncetospeedthingsupifyouhavelotsofdesignstostartwith.Ifyoudon’thaveanimagereadyatthisstage,we’veprovidedacoupleofexamplesyoucanusetocontinuethroughthecreationprocess.Theimagewillformthebasisofanewdesign,whichcanthenbemadeavailableacrossarangeofdifferentproductsinonego.

Eachfileyouuploadisusedtocreatemultipleproductswiththatdesigninyourstore.Therecommendedimagepixelsizeforeachproductisshownintheapp,butwe’llalsohighlightifanyimagelookstoosmall.ICCprofiles arealsoavailableformostproducts,forprecisecolourreproduction.

Tomakeyourdesignavailableasaparticularproduct,simplytogglethe“Enabled”switchinthebottomcorner.Anyproductswithagreentickwillbepublishedtoyourstore.

Did you know? If you intend to offer the same products for all of your artwork, you can set up default product ranges and pricing in one place so that they’re automatically set up every time you upload a new image. This can be done within the preferences section of the settings menu.

Youcanfindoutmoreabouteachoftheproducts,tweakyourimagelayoutandselectthecorrectvariants (sizes,colours)byclickingontheimageorthe“prices&edit”button.

EachdesignispublishedasacollectiontoShopify,whichmeansthattherangeofproductsthatyoumakeavailableforeachonewillbegroupedtogethertomakeiteasierforyourcustomerstofindtheavailableoptions.

Choose a product range

Onceyourartworkisuploaded,you’llhaveanewdesignreadytogo.Here,youcangiveyourdesignaname,duplicatewhatyou’vesetupandpublishittoShopify.Firstthough,clickontheimageitselftoviewtheselectedproductsthatyou’llofferforsale.

Edit your image

Hereyoucanseehowyourartworklooksaspartofthefinishedproduct,andadjustitspositionorsize.

Bydefaultanychangesthatyoumaketoyourimagewillbeappliedtoallvariantsselectedforthatproduct.However,itispossibletouseadifferentartworkimageforspecificvariants,whichcanbeusefulifyouoffermultipleaspectratiosororientations.

Select your preferred product variants and prices

Thesecondoptionfromthedesign&editscreenisproductconfiguration,accessiblefromthemenuicons ontheleft-handside.Thisiswhereyoucanselecttheproductvariants,pricingandstoredescriptions.

Thecostpricethatwechargeyouwhenyoumakeasale(the“costtoyou”field)isshownforeachvariant. Fromthere,youcanchangethesellingpriceforeachvariantandclearlyseeyourexpectedprofit.

Alternatively,insteadofsettingthesellingprice,youcansetaprofitpercentageifyouneedtoensurethat youhityourrequiredmarginforeverythingthatyousell.

Toviewtheindividualvariantprices,andselectwhichonesareavailableforyourcustomerstopurchase, clickon“showpricingtable”.Thiswillexpandthelistofavailableproductvariants,allowingyoutofine-tune pricesforindividualvariants,orexcludethemfromyourstore.

Thecostpricesdonotincludeshipping,soyoumaywanttosetyoursellingpricestocoverthetypicalcostofshipping,andthenofferfreeshoppingtoyourcustomers.However,wedoprovidealternativewaystoconfigureandchargeforshipping,whichwecoverinaseparatesection.

Review the product description

Wepre-populatethiswithsomespecificdetailsabouttheproductitself,butyou’refreetochangethisasrequired.

Product previews

Foreachproduct,wegenerateawiderangeofpreviewimages,showingyourdesignfromavarietyofanglesandinrealisticroomsettings.Youcantoggleeachimageonandoff,andaddyourownproductimagesinShopifyifyouhavethem.We’llalsobeaddingnewpreviewsandroomsettingstotheappthroughregularupdates.

Useful product information

Thefinalpageshowsfurtherdetailsontheproductitself,suchasshippingratesandleadtimes,andafewsampleimagesforacompletepictureofwhatyourcustomerswillbereceiving.

Publish to Shopify

Youhavechosenaproduct,selectedthepreferredvariants,reviewedtheimagesanddescriptions, andconfiguredyourpricing.TheonlythinglefttodonowistopublishintoyourShopifystore.

Ifyouhaven’tyetprovidedyourbillingdetails,we’llaskyouforthemwhenyoupublish.Youcanchoosethe“I’lldothislater”optionifyoudon’thavethemtohand,butanyorderswon’tbefulfilleduntilbillingdetailsareadded.

Thepublishbuttonisinthetopright-handcornerandwillstarttheprocesstomakeyournewproductsavailabletoyourcustomers.Quiteafewthingshappeninthebackground,includingproducinghigh-qualityversionsofyourpreviewimagesandcreatinganewcollectiontogroupyourproductstogetherwheretheysharethesamedesign,sothepublishmaytakeacoupleofminutes.

Assoonastheproductispublished,theappwillnotifyyouandprovidealinktoviewthenewproductinyourstore.

Shipping

Shippingisakeypartofsellingyourartworkason-demandproducts,anditishandledentirelyfromwithinShopify.

Shopifyprovidesmultiplewaystoconfigureyourshippingcostsbutwerecommendsettingashippingratepercountryorgeographicalareathatisdependantontheorderprice.Thisprovidesthebestbalancebetweenaccuracyandsimplicityforbothyouandyourcustomers.

Managing your orders

You’reabletoseeandmanageyourordersfromwithintheProdigiapp.Inthe“Orders”section,you’reabletoseeallofyouropenorderswithus.Thisisalsotheplacetoraiseanyorderissuesyoumayhave.Ourcustomersupportteamsareavailablethroughthelivechatservice.

Becauseofthenatureofon-demandproducts,onceanorderisreceivedbyourlabsitcannolongerbecancelled.Ifyoudoneedtocancelanorderafterwe’vereceivedit,getintouchandwe’llletyouknowthebestwayforward.
