Lapland Institute for Tourism Research and Education
– formed year 2009 by tourism education and research experts at
• University of Lapland (master and doctor level), • Rovaniemi University of Applied Sciences (BA level)
and • Lapland Vocational College (upper secondary level)
– The operations are supported by the Learning Centre of Eastern Finland, the Kemi-Tornio Municipal Federation of Education (Lappia) and the tourism expertise in the Educational Centre of Sámi Area and the special expertise in the Lapland Centre of Expertise for the Experience Industry (LEO)
– part of Lapland University Consortium
