The LifePlan Coaching Program:

Creating Massive Social Change in Toronto

BUILDING URBAN PEACE

Prepared by David Lockett, Co-founder of PACT

The Recognition:

“In my view, LifePlan Coaching is the best chance to prevent a youth in serious trouble with the law at 15 or 16 from becoming the 35-year-old with a seven-page criminal record.” “Since these are the most difficult youth, I felt this program at best would change 1 life out of 10, however in the 8 years the program has been running my own experience and that of other judges I know have found the results to be remarkable.”

Justice Richard Blouin

“On a shoe string budget, with commitment to the kids as the primary motivator, PACT has created a program which has been hugely successful in changing outcomes for troubled kids.”

Justice June Maresca “PACT’s unique and powerful LifePlan Coaching Program has the potential to be a serious game changer in this area.”

R. Roy McMurtry (former Chief Justice of Ontario)

Les Magyar

The Program: LifePlan Coaching is an innovative, customizable, and powerful program Designed for youth (14-19) charged under the Youth Criminal Justice Act Youth who are serious and repeat conflict with the law but motivated to change It is an intensive interventional, individualized, structured plan to help them turn their lives

The Spirit of Level:The Fight for Freedom

“The fight for freedom is yesterday’s battle... the value with the highest priority in a just society for Canada’s future should be equality of opportunity. For where is the justice in a country in which an individual has the freedom to be totally fulfilled, but where inequality denies him the means? And how can we call a society just unless it is organized in such away as to give each his due regardless of his state of birth, his means, or his health.”
