Introduction

This is a guide on how to setup the iPad for use with the CDC eight, CDC seven and CDC six.

This document goes through the process of configuring the console for wireless remote control via the Cadac Remote App on the iPad.

Required

You will require a:

• Wireless Router

• Ethernet Cable

• An Apple iPad with Cadac Remote installed

Note: Search the Apple App Store for “Cadac Remote”

Procedure to Setup up the Console for iPad Remote Control

To set up the console for iPad remote control you will need to restart the console and follow the

procedure below.

1. When the CDC Loader screen appears press ‘Console Type’:

2. Press ‘Bridge Server’ if the button is not already highlighted in Green:

3. Press ‘Apply’:

4. The console will then continue to boot.

5. When the console has booted up, press the ‘Menu’ button on the console:

6. From ‘Settings’ on the 6.5 control screen select ‘Settings’:

7. Press ‘Bridge’:

8. From the Bridge Server Settings select ‘Network Port’:

9. IMPORTANT: For the next step you MUST plug in the wireless router in the console via and

an Ethernet cable

10. Plug in the Ethernet cable into the back of the console via one of the two NETWORK ports:

11. Select the active network. It will be either Extern 1 or Extern 2.

NOTE: The active network is the computer icon without the “Red X” (shown below by the

green circle):

12. Now Reboot the console

13. After the console has rebooted go to the ‘About’ screen and check to see if the ‘Bridge

Server’ is active:

It must display a version number:

NOTE: If only the name ‘Bridge Server’ is being displayed then go back to the start of this

procedure and toggle the “Bridge Server” button on the start-up screen.

14. Go to the Bridge Server Setting (via Settings - Bridge) page and select ‘Remote’:

15. Select ‘Allow Any’:

16. Open the Cadac Remote App on your iPad.

17. Select you console and wait for connection.

18. After the App has connected select “Remember Me” on the console.

The iPad should now be connected and ready to remotely control the console.
