•  Aug 14‚1947 Pakistan came into being and the announcement of its creation was made by the new organization‚ the Pakistan Broadcasting Service which comes into existence at the same time and later designated as Radio Pakistan.

• Presently Radio Pakistan is broadcasting programs in 23 languages.

We have 90 TV channels, 106 FM stations in Last 10 years.

• In Pakistan there are more than 72 AM , FM and SW transmitters(32 radio stations) owned by radio Pakistan are disseminating useful information across the world.

• By April 2004 more than 50 licenses had been issued for private FM Radio stations

• In Pakistan, television was first time introduced in the exhibition near the Mazaray Quaid on 16 September 1965,just for entertainment there was a short circuit television for audiences to watch the miracle invention.

• License for more than 20 private satellite TV station have been awarded, signally increased competition for the state run Pakistan television corporation.

• More than 22 TV channels in public sector and private sector are telecasting there programs on various subjects nationwide

Nearly 100 channels came on TV screen like news, entertainment, sports, religion, music,

cooking art & business

Non- Broadcast media

• Any production outside broadcasting House of Radio or TV and use of its material for broadcast or telecast through Radio or TV Channels fall under the category of non-broadcast media.
