Participants gain more knowledge of Latin American policy frameworks and practical

experiences in land use planning and access

Land Use Planning and Access

Week 1:April 16th-19th

Introductory Week

Week 2 to Week 5:Apr. 20th-May 21st

Learning and Exchange

Week 6:May 22nd-25th

Conclusions Week

Week 1Introductory Week

In the first week (starting April 16th) participants and moderator get to know each other.

• Moderator introduces himself and module’s content and makes available the general background documents on the theme.

• Participants may wish to introduce themselves or at least make sure to have their profile fulfilled with picture in order to facilitate the exchange.

Week 2 to Week 5

The second to the fifth week are devoted merely to the learning and exchange. Moderator posts a thread

corresponded to each week’s subtheme.

The question thread will be posted on Fridays and you will have until Thursday next week to post your comments and inputs. All comments and posts will be considered, but please wait for moderator’s answers each Monday at noon Peruvian time, since I will group your posts and reply accordingly.

Week 2 to Week 5

• already existing resources like documentaries and publications have been identified for this discussion

• exclusive resources like interviews or case studies prepared by us will be available as material for discussion and reflexion

• participants are welcome to post the external resources considered useful for the debate, but please limit those to one per sub theme (four per module)

Each subtheme will have supporting documents in order to feed the discussions

Week 4

• Concept and Importance of Social License in Latin

America

Week 5

Week 6

• Starts May 28th

• Wrap-Up and Conclusions• From a selected case study, participants will

identify and asses the different sub-issues addressed in the previous weeks as a conclusion exercise

• Participants are Invited to Fulfill a Survey as an Evaluation of this First Module

We invite you all to contribute by sharing your experiences and knowledge on this theme. Illustrative

cases will be most welcome.

And don’t forget that many of us we are from non English speaking country, so we should don’t worry for

mistakes that can be made when contributing. For those who may have problems with downloading the

documents, please let me know, so we can find an alternative way to send them to you.
