To provide a platform for sharing innovative ideas and criticalreviewing of existing state of science education and intervening atthe national level
To identify and support local initiatives, experiments in teaching,and development of alternate pedagogy
To promote debate / dialogue on environment and societyinterface, relating knowledge with quality of life of the commonpeople
To develop scientific temper and research attitude among theteachers and in turn improve science education in the country
