different types of forget hand tool, hand forging of different types of jobs. Allied Trade Fitter, Turning,
Machinist, Sheet Metal, Welding, Electrician, etc. Use of different types tools and machines. Pulleys-solid,
stepped and built up pulleys. Application of shade lines on machine drawing. Pipe fitting flanges, union,
valves, etc. valve; such as lever safety valve, Dead wt. safety valve. Assemble drawing of a tail stock.
Drawing of a drilling jig. Detailed drawing of a milling fixture. Different types of gauges, such as plug,
snap, thread, etc. Blow off crock and simple carburetor.

a) Introduction of the course:
This course is affiliated to NCVT and DGE&T, New Delhi. The pass out student is skilled for any job
related to Survey Work and Survey Drawing of Construction site. After successfully passing this course the
pass out students can apply to any Govt. Departments and Private Organizations as the certificate is
recognized by all Govt. Departments. These students can also independently carry out job work for various
departments as they have all the knowledge of operating Auto Level, Dumpy Level, Theodolite, Total
Station, AutoCAD etc.
b) Main areas/chapters covered in theoretical deliberations:
Importance of safety, Uses of different instruments & equipments used by surveyor, their types and uses.
Lettering using stencils. Different types of scales and there principle. Geometrical constructions lines, angles,
triangles and circles. Classification of survey. Conventional signs and symbols. Principles of chain survey.
Technical terms used in compass survey, difference between angles and bearing, magnetic &true meridians.
Plane table survey equipments instruction and various method of plane table survey. Leveling parts, types-
cooks reversible level& dumpy level. Method of observation, booking, reduction of levels, types of field book,
reciprocal leveling. Purpose of sectioning, Uses Vernier and micrometer theodolite, measuring vertical and
deflection angle. Method of plotting traverses-Gales traverse system. Total Station Survey.
