Dr. Howard Gardner is a professor of education at Harvard University, he is also a psychologist

In 1983 Gardner developed the theory of multiple intelligences.

Gardner came up with 8 different intelligences to account for the

broader range of intelligence in

people.

The intelligences are:

BODILY/ KINESTHETIC The capacity to use your whole body or parts of your body, to solve a problem.

Dancers, athletes, soldiers.

INTERPERSONAL The ability to understand other people.

Teacher, politicians, salespeople.

INTRAPERSONAL Having an understanding of yourself, of knowing who you are, what you can do, etc.

The ability to discriminate among living things as well as sensitivity to other features of the natural world.
