An inventory tracked MBT used for:• One year in a desert mission (Climate zone STANAG 2895 A2)

• Then one year in a sub-tropic mission(A2-A3)

• Then taken home to be used in domestic training.

Costs:• Cost of delivering one gallon of fuel to a FOB: $40-400.

• Cost to repaint MBT at a military base workshop: $20,000-30,000

• Average cost to change MBT engine filters: $1450 per 1000 miles

Savings:• Fuel savings: 2600 gallons @ $40: $104,000

• Re-painting savings : 3 paintings @ $20 000: $60,000

• Filters changes avoided: $36,000

Minimum savings per vehicle and operational cycle: $200,000

Assumptions (Figures from operational experinces and USA TAI/TACOM certified fuel consumption analysis and operational data from US Army, DK Army, Swedish Army, KMW, BAE Systems & General Dynamics):

An inventory tracked vehicle used one year in a Desert Mission (Climate zone STANAG 2895 A2) and one year in a Subtropic Mission(A2-A3) before taken home to be used in domestic training.

The cost to bring a Gallon of fluid to a FOB: $40-400.

The cost to re-paint at a MIL workshop: $20 000-30 000

The avarage cost to change the engine compartment filters: $ 1 450 /1 000 miles

Fuel savings: 1600 + 1000 gallons x $40 $104 000

Re-painting : 3 paintings x $20 000 $60 000

Filters changes avoided $36 000

Minimum savings per vehicle and operational cycle $200 000

MCS systems and the ILS( Integrated Lifetime Support ) is payed for multiple times by Operational Energy Savings and easier and avoided maintenance
