MaybankHeart is an online peer-to-peer charity platform that allows a direct connection

WHAT IS CROWD FUNDING?
Crowd-funding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising many small
amounts of money from a large number of people, typically via the Internet. Crowd-
funding is a form of crowdsourcing and of alternative finance
The contemporary innovation of public collections is that a critical mass of individual
members of the public have mobile devices with access to the internet, and in theory are
able to ask other people around the world to support their aims.
The role of the platforms is to provide a marketplace where people can ask for donations
to their project, and donors can be confident in the platform handling the transactions in
a timely and professional manner for their money to reach the fundraisers.

MaybankHeart is an online peer-to-peer charity platform that allows a direct connection
between donors and recipients of donations, from approved charities, non-governmental
organisations or individuals.
MAYBANKHEART CAMPAIGN FUNDING
• MaybankHeart does not work with an ‘all or nothing’ funding. This means that
every amount raised will go to the campaign. Even if the target amount is not
reached.
• Upon the completion of the campaign, the funds will be transferred to the
Maybank account as stated by the Requesting Organisation.
• Completion of campaign is defined by the period of the campaign or
the campaign targeted amount is met.
• MaybankHeart does not charge any fee. However, any fees associated
with the payment gateway chosen would be deducted from the donated
amount.
• Transfer funds to project owners upon successful completion of the
crowd-funding.
• MaybankHeart maintains the confidential information of every
organisation.

MAYBANKHEART ONBOARDING PROCESS
Requesting Organisation (eg. NGO) is required to provide the
necessary due diligence documentation to
maybankheart@maybank.com
Upon submission, the MaybankHeart team reviews each
application against internal due diligence requirements defined.
Beyond this, each application is also reviewed by the
MaybankHeart Council prior to being approved.
Upon approval, the MaybankHeart Administration team will
provide the Requesting Organisation with a username and
password to the MaybankHeart platform to create campaigns.
Each campaign uploaded goes through the same review process
i.e. vetted by the MaybankHeart team prior to final approvals by the
MaybankHeart Council.
Campaign endorsed by MH Working Committee, and
submitted to MH Council for approvals
NGO creates campaign on MH platform or submit it
via email
Campaign is now open to the public on MH.
Collection period starts
Campaign uploaded once MH Council approves the

MH Working Committee to review the campaign
