REAWAKENING, GROWING AND CELEBRATING OUR CATHOLIC FAITH TOGETHER—WELCOMING ALL.
PROPAGATION OF THE FAITH
This weekend Fr. Rocco Puopolo will speak at all Masses for the annual Propa-ga on of the Faith Appeal. Fr. Rocco is a Xaverian Missionary Priest. In the past the there has been a Second Collec on
for the missions, however this year that is not possible. Therefore, we will have a second basket at the door, clear-ly labeled for the missions, so that you may offer a dona-
on to the Xaverian Missionaries. For those of you who may be watching at home and for others who wish to do-nate, you may visit the Propaga on of the Faith website www.propfaithboston.org and click on Donate Now, then Propaga on of the Faith, then Mission Appeal.
Please welcome Fr. Rocco and be generous.
Due to the shutdown of Churches for COVID-19, parishes were unable to launch the 2020 Catholic Appeal this past March with an in-pew presenta on. However, as the work of our Church has con nued amidst the pandemic, the more than 50 ministries funded by the Catholic Appeal are in need now more than ever. The success of the Appeal is vital in funding these ministries that provide assistance to our parishes, schools, and communi es in a variety of ways. Please consider making your gi to the 2020 Catholic Ap-peal in one of the following ways:
If you receive a le er or email, respond using the pledge card or dona on op ons.
Envelopes distributed at Mass Visit bostoncatholicappeal.org to give online
Every gi , regardless of the size, is meaningful and can make an impact. Your par cipa on in our parish Appeal is very much appreciated by our parish and the thousands that are served through the Archdiocesan Central Minis-tries.
This is our Church and when you support the Appeal, you support us!
The following are new direc ves from the Archdiocese of Boston.
Effec ve immediately, our parish will be required to:
Take the temperature of every a endee as they come for Mass, this includes the staff and volunteers. An infra-red thermometers issued by the Archdiocese, or equivalent devices, will be used. Any temperature of 100.4 Fahren-heit (38.0 Celsius) or greater is considered to be a fever by the CDC. If someone registers a temperature of 100.4 or greater, we will respec ully and quietly inform the individual that they have a fever, and that they may not a end Mass and should contact their physician. This ap-plies to weekday Masses and funerals and bap sms and other worship events as well, including outdoor Masses
Registra on for Masses will now be required for tracing purposes. We will begin to take (and keep for at least fourteen days) a list of all individuals who enter the church for Masses (Sunday and weekday), funerals, bap-
sms, and any other events, for contact tracing purpose during this public health crisis. This applies to outdoor Masses as well.
Stay up to day with all current guidelines by visi ng our
website www.LynnCatholic.org.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The Salva on Army is in desperate need of volunteers. We need people who can work 9am-12noon at the drive through food pantry.
Those interested can come by between 12pm and 3pm to fill it the necessary paperwork stop by 1 Franklin St. Lynn.
CORI FORMS
One of the most fundamental ways we assist in this ma er is to have all volunteers, staff members, and clergy have a CORI check every year. This is a requirement for all and forms must be filled out by all even if you have done so previously or for another organiza on you volunteer or work for. CORI forms have been emailed to all volunteers on file, copies are availa-ble at the Parish Office. Please fill out and drop into the Collec-
on Basket at Masses or drop off at the front door of the Col-labora ve Office. If you have any ques ons or concerns or need a CORI form mailed or emailed to you, please call us at 781.598.4907. I thank you for your coopera on. God Bless, Fr. Brian
A dona on in the St. Vincent de Paul
boxes at the doors of each Church is a nice way of remembering our needy.
Thank you for helping us help others.
Our new parish Saint Mary of the Sacred Heart has two St. Vincent de Paul Socie es serving the needy in our
community. When mailing or making a dona on please make a note of which conference you wish
your dona on to support.
