KC-135 CNS/ATM Block 45Program Overview

Fueling the Fight!

AFLCMC… Providing the Warfighter’s Edge

Capability:

Pod system provides A/C protection from infrared (IR) missile threats

System autonomously:

Detects threat missile launch

Tracks the threat missile

Optically jams the threat missile using an IR laser

Enables warfighter to forward deploy closer to the air refueling tracks

7

Requirements:

Upgrade 140 AFRC & ANG A/C with Group A kits

Procure 35 Group B kits (pods)

LAIRCM system components must be contained within a single removable pod

Pod must be rotable among the 140 Group A-equipped A/C

LAIRCM G3 Pod Program Overview

Status:

Integration & test activities conclude Spring 2018

Milestone C decision Feb 2018

Testing complete Spring 2018
