ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Grade Coordinator• Schedule sessions with teacher and parent

volunteers• Assign an artist to a parent (depending on # of

volunteers in a class you can do more than 1 session)

• Email artist bio, art project info and talking points to volunteers

TRAINING

Lead by Diane Greenwald

Slated for February 9:30 – 11:30 am (make up

sessions available)

Robyn Lane insists that the training be mandatory

to ensure quality sessions in the classroom

Project: sculpture, self portrait, landscape, still life

and collage

1ST GRADE

Projects: Action painting, cityscape, mobile

2ND GRADE

Coordinator: Jenny Goldban

Artist: Seurat, Monet, Van Gogh

Projects: Explore different painting techniques,

signature styles – pointilist, finger paint,

palette knife

Trip: Metropolitan museum

3RD GRADE

Coordinator: Debra Zik

Artist: Hokusai, Van Gogh, Hiroshige

Projects, laquer box, Sumi-e drawings

Trip: Hammond museum, clay art center, japanese

garden

Special Tea Ceremony in school

4TH GRADE

it will tie into colonial art
