How many years do Koreans go to school?

For North Koreans they go thru one year of kindergarten, four years of primary education, six years of secondary, and then they go off to the Universities.

South Koreans go to infant school, primary school for six years, middle school and high school for three years, then college for four years.

Are the schools public or private?

South Korean schools provide both public and private schools for education

North Koreans also have public and private education

What subjects are studied?

The subjects students learn about in south Korea include Korean writing, listening, reading, speaking, and history. They also learn algebra, geometry, science, English, and Physical Education but are not limited to only these courses.

North Korean subjects include music, art, foreign languages mathematics, physical education, they also are required to learn about their leader "Great Kim Il Sung“ and the “communist mortality”

What activities do they do after school?

To north Koreans social education is very important for them, such as extracurricular activities and learning human relationships

South Korean children like to study, play sports, and play video games. Most South Korean children play an instrument and view it as importantly as education. A common Korean instrument is a Janggu which is a Korean drum.
