Implementing and Evaluating AODV, DSR and DYMO
Protocol using Grid-based Routing for Mobile
Ad-Hoc Networks
Jyoti Para*, Laxmi Shrivastava Department of Electronics, Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior-474005, India
Abstract The reactive routing protocols got much significance because of their low storage
requirements and high mobility. In this paper, three routing protocols AODV, DSR and
DYMO are analyzed and simulation results evaluated on grid-based routing have been
presented and compared by using QualNet simulator on the basis of performance metrics such as throughput, average jitter, average end-to-end delay, signals transmitted and
ACK packets sent. The grids are distributed that tracks mobile node location in ad-hoc
networks. Grid-based routing protocol uses reactive mechanisms to build routing paths. In addition, the grid partitioning of a network naturally aggregates nodes into non-
overlapping grid cells. The mobile network can be modeled as a fixed pattern network of
occupied grid cells. The grid cells do not move but may change their state between “on” and “off” according to their occupancy. The occupancy of a grid cell depends on not the
mobility of nodes but the density of nodes.

Protected Routing in MANETS
K. Yasaswini, K. L. Kalyani, N. Rajeswari*
Dept. of CSE, Vignan University Vadlamudi, Guntur-522213 Andhra Pradesh, India
Abstract Security is an important issue in MANETS. As MANETS are self-organized, the
communication and the recognizing the other nodes for the communication need to be recognized by the nodes. In this, MANETS lack centralized authority; any devices can
enter or leave the network. Security attacks are more in MANETS because of its dynamic nature. In this paper an attempt has been made to list out all types of attacks in the
MANETS and provide solution for the routing in the network. By implementing Shamir’s
algorithm, security can be achieved. By the proposed method, each node which wants to enter into the network, should register in the centralized authority. By this some security
attacks can be reduced.

Use of GPS based Spatial Alarm System For An
Alert of Locations
Kavyashri N. P*, Kavitha G, Mohammed Rafi
Department of CSE, University BDT College of Engineering, Davangere, Karnataka, India
Abstract GPS based spatial alarm is one of the alert system for many Location Based Services. If
the user set an alarm for a location, it will make a sound and notification once it’s
detected the user within the user defined range from the destination. The GPS must be enabled on a mobile device to use this application. SHA1 signature is used to generate a
Google map API key for displaying the map in mobile devices. Spatial Alarm ensures
high accuracy and scalability for alerting the user within his proximity distance. It shows that the Spatial Alarm system provides both the general system architecture and the
essential building blocks for location-based reminders.

Analyzing the Impact of Offer Load, Mobility and Energy
Related Issues on Simulation Areas of Reactive and
Proactive Routing Protocols in MANETS
N. Rahul Pal*, S. Pallam Setty Department of Computer Science Engineering, Andhra University, India
Abstract MANETS is a collection of independent mobile nodes that can communicate through each
other via radio waves. The mobile nodes that are in radio range can directly
communicate whereas others need the aid of intimidate node to route the packets. These
networks are fully disturbed and can work with any place without the help of any infrastructure. This property makes these networks highly flexible and robust. In this
project, the authors have analyzed the impact of offer load, mobility and energy related
issues with respect to simulation areas for reactive and proactive routing protocols for MANETS by using NS2 simulator to measure the different parameters like routing
overhead, rout load, packet delivery ratio energy consume, energy remaining, etc.
Keywords: Ad hoc networks, energy, performance.
