Happy New Year 2017
I want to wish everyone a wonderful New
Year filled with abundance, joy, good health, and
treasured moments for the year of 2017. I am
looking forward to a new year at Roseville
Commons. I want to thank everyone that joined
me in the Christmas tree decorating.
I also would like to thank all the residents
who participated in my last Bingo for 2016. We
had so much fun, all the winners were happy
campers. I know everyone enjoyed their raffle
prizes.
A special thank you to all the residents
for their very generous contributions to our
staff Christmas fund. Your kindness was
appreciated, I want to give an extra special thank
you to Lois Richie for handling the Christmas
Fund and donating her time running back and
forth to the bank and making sure all funds were
given out fairly to all the staff.
I would like to also thank the kitchen staff
and office staff for their hard work all year long.
We have a great Staff at Roseville. Thank you to
all.
Happy New Year!
Juanita

Living at Roseville Commons we are
lucky enough to live in such close proximity to such a large variety of
different shopping stores and florists. In December Judy’s Blossom Shop
presented us with a beautiful arrangement in the front office, and
Judy was generous enough to offer us a 10% discount and free delivery to Roseville Commons Senior Living.
Please note this is for I-orders in our delivery area, meaning it cannot be applied on orders we send to other
florists (Wire out FTD or Teleflora.)
The code is RCSL10 and can be used on our website or on phone
order. Online www.judyblossomshop.net or

Winter Fun At Roseville Commons
Its unbelievable 2016 has come and gone, where did the year go? I guess its true time does fly when you are having fun! That’s what I work at here for everyone, is having fun. This month every Tuesday we have something going on at 1:00 pm in the Rose Room, so make sure you are marking your calendars, I know it is after lunch and sometimes you want to take a little nap, but let’s try and shake up your schedules, a little change in life is always good for the soul.
January 24th is World Laughter Day and we have Mister Illusion coming out to put on an outstanding show for all of you. Our Happy Hours have been
such a wonderful turn out, thank you all for coming out and enjoying this social time with all your neighbors and friends, we have one of our very own residents coming out for a sing-along on Thursday January 19th at 2:30 pm in the Rose Room, I hope you all come out and joy in the fun with Charlie Hull. I’m so happy how our Friday Excursion’s having been going, we have had such a great turn out lately, and we have some fun ones this month. Peter’s Steak House & Grand Island Mansion in Isleton on Friday 13th. Peter’s offers great food like their prime rib dip sandwich & fries
for lunch for only $10.99, and a friendly atmosphere alongside of the Sacramento River, then off to visit
the Grand Island Mansion for a walk through as well as view the beautiful landscape. Check the calendar for all the events and Friday excursions. Wishing you all a prosperous New Year!

Culinary Corner
January 2017 Newsletter Happy New Year Roseville Residents! I hope you all enjoyed all the festive and extravagant holiday meals last year. Now on to 2017! We will start it off right with a Chef prepared New Year’s Day brunch, complete with Mimosas (an essential to any new year!) Our baked potato bar will be back this January, and we will be trying out some new dinner entrées as well (some of them recommended by Roseville residents!) I would like to take a moment to thank all the residents who continue to wait at the dining room doors and follow seating procedures. It makes a huge difference and I can tell you the wait staff and cooks surely appreciate it as it makes their job a little easier just by you waiting for the host to be seated. I do realize the system is not perfect and we are implementing some procedural changes to hopefully reduce the amount of time it takes for you to be seated, no matter what time of the day you choose to dine with us. Please keep in mind we are almost at maximum capacity, and we are serving more residents now than we ever have. While this in itself is not a problem (the more the merrier!), it makes your continued cooperation and participation in dining room policy absolutely essential in making our dining services successful. I do apologize if there has been any excessive waiting times at the door, but please know it is something we are actively trying to alleviate, while not letting other aspects of service suffer. So thank you for your patience and cooperation; it is much appreciated. So Happy New Year to each and every one of you! Let’s make it the best one yet! Sincerely,
Chef Brian
