Things we wanted to test for:• CO2 emmision?• Does it react in enviroments?• Does it have cells?• Does it grow?• Does it reproduce?

TestingWe put a pinch of our unknown in a tube of salt water, and a pinch in a tube of fresh water. We wanted to test how it would react to being in the water, or to see if it would grow

We also added bromothyle blur to both to test if it releases CO2

We could not observe the growth of the substance in the soil. But it could just need more time to grow.

We observed some cells, that we think may be cells, and they mat be too small to observe with accuracy.

We were not able to test reproduction.

Is it alive?

From our data, and though we cant be sure we believe that our substance is alive. If we could observe the substance for a longer period of time then we could come to a certain conclusion, but because it releases CO2, and because it seems to grow in water, we think it is alive.
