The passing mark is 60% in all courses.
Anything less than 60% indicates that students have not attained/mastered the competencies.

IPESA: What’s NewStudent Absences for Religious Holy days ◦Teachers should make reasonable attempts to avoid scheduling assessments on religious holy days
◦Students must inform teachers of planned absences for religious holy days in writing during the first week of classes
◦Students are responsible for any missed material in classes and labs, just as when classes are missed for other reasons
IPESA: What’s NewMissed Assessments◦ Students missing an assessment should contact the teacher as
soon as possible to explain the absence◦ For medical absences, students must give the teacher official
documentation and the teacher will make alternative arrangements for the assessment
◦ For non-medical absences the teacher uses their discretion to decide if documentation is needed and if the absence warrants a make-up assessment
IPESA: What’s NewGood Academic Standing
◦To be considered in good academic standing, full time students must◦ Pass more than 50% of their courses and
◦ Pass a minimum of 50% of their program-specific courses
(Music and Nursing have different guidelines)
IPESA: What’s NewAcademic success
◦ Students who fail 2 or more courses (or the same course twice) and are in good academic standing are contacted by the College and remedial measures are recommended
◦ In some programs students who fail the same course twice are required to leave the program
(The Academic Dean can grant exceptions to this portion of the IPESA)
