The Story of Grid Development Manufacturers are jumping on the benching bandwagon in a

search for the cubicle replacement. An opportunity was identified by key customers who asked

Enwork to do for Environments what we have done with Tables and other market segments – deliver great designs at the right price.

Enwork worked closely with key customers in Silicon Valley and other areas to understand the needs of innovative companies. Customers still want the flexibility of cubicles, but want lower walls, better airflow, and contemporary open environments. Out of these relationships a product called Enwork Grid was rapidly developed.

Grid delivers power and data through space in a light scale and flexible manner. It has great design at a great price point.

About the Designer3

With a love of the furniture industry, David Powell turned his unique perspective into “Grid” by Enwork.

“I am passionate about sleek and sophisticated, yet functional design. We need products designed for the reality of today – environmentally smart, fun, flexible, with user control and affordability. I believe Grid does all that and more.”

David has 17 years of industry experience. He has also designed the successful Enwork Impression and Suspense product lines.

Value Engineering Suggestions31

The lowest cost tile is laminate. Whiteboard is the second lowest. Steel and acrylic are not far behind. Tackable fabric and others are more expensive.

Utilize tether brackets for worksurface mounting instead of freestanding legs.

Utilize spine-based planning and minimize the number of Frames (avoid 90 degree or 120 degree Frame applications).

Mix powered and non-powered Frames to keep costs down. Put power only where necessary.
