DESCRIPTION

Learn how teachers and employers partner to plan, open and operate a student-run school-based financial center. Academy teachers and directors, along with their business partners and students, research and select a local financial institution to partner with; plan the location within the school; investigate how to procure start up funding, materials, and furnishings; and create a security plan to house the financial institution within the school. Participants will also review the training manual and operating procedures for opening and running a financial institution.
