Some General Pieces of Advice Use the same name as on your most recent

passport. Always bring your phone number at the end of

Study GRE before taking your TOEFL. Don’t cheat or do any suspicious action! Check your ETS account, weekly. Cancelation is

possible. Don’t be isolated during this process. Don’t put things off. Studying for GRE is not a waste of time.

GRE (revised) General Test ≠ GRE Subject test Composed of three sections:◦ Analytical Writing: 0–6 score scale, in half-point

increments.◦ Verbal Reasoning: 130–170 score scale, in 1-point

increments.◦ Quantitative Reasoning: ~

There is no negative marking. Question types reflect the kind of thinking you'll do in

graduate school (not only for English language) All graduate schools in US. Some schools in Canada

and Europe. Low scores might be ignored for a strong applicant.

GRE?

From ETS website: http://www.ets.org/gre Cost: $190. Late: $210. (Credit Card /

tehranpayment.com) Duration: 3h and 45 min, a 10-min break. Computer-delivered (Adaptive & Extended). Held 2-3

times a week. Exam tickets can be printed online. Take your ID documents to present at the test center. Sending your scores:

◦ Up to 4 institutions for free (Should be determined AT EXAM)

◦ Additional Score Reports: $27 per recipient > TOEFL ($19)!!!

Reschedule no later than four days before your test + $50 penalty.

Many score reports : institution code (1234) + department code (any department not listed 0000)

Scoring and Reporting

Unofficial VR and QR scores at the test center, if you choose Report Scores.

Official scores: approximately 10–15 days after your test.

Valid for five years. Score reports will be sent five business days

after your order.

2. Text Completion It is refreshing to read a book about our planet by an author
