Prepared by the Office of Planning & Institutional Research

2011 HERI Faculty Survey

What is the HERI Faculty Survey?

• The Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) at UCLA administers a faculty survey to institutions nationwide once every three year.

• The national comparison group includes collective results from UCLA of all public 4-year colleges and universities participating in the survey.

• Administration at TAMU-CC was during February and March of 2011.

• N= 330 full-time faculty were invited, via email, to participate.

• Of the faculty invited, n=98 responded, for a response rate of 30%. However, for national comparison purposes, n=95 faculty are included in this report, as three faculty did not indicate gender. Only faculty nationwide who reported gender are included in the norm data.
