Communication Two-way process of reaching mutual understanding, in which participants not only exchange (encode-decode) information, news, ideas and feelings but also create and share meaning. In general, communication is a means of connecting people or places. In business, it is a key function of management--an organization cannot operate without communication between levels, departments and employees.
According to Harold D. Lass well, a convenient way to describe an act of communication is to answer the following questions:

Effective Communication
A two way information sharing process which involves one party sending a message that is easily understood by the receiving party. Effective communication by business managers facilitates information sharing between company employees and can substantially contribute to its commercial success.

Business Communication
Business communication is the sharing of information between people within and outside the organization that is performed for the commercial benefit of the organization. It can also be defined as relaying of information within a business by its people.
It can also refer to internal communication that takes place within an organization.

It is meaning – based. It is conventional (common means). It is appropriate. It is interactional. It is structured.
