1 General Description
The FLUME® Stabilization System is equipped with a monitoring and control display unit located in the wheel house. The display unit - called HOMIP - has one SD-card access connection which is located on the side of the unit as shown in the figure below. Else, it has 2 Ethernet ports and 2 USB ports

2 SD Card Access
2.1 Direct SD Card Access
The log-files are located on the SD-card and can be accessed through the following steps: [A] CAUTION: Power of HOMIP PLC needs to be turned off before SD-card can be removed. If
not SD-card might be damaged and data files might be lost. To make the system powerless switch off all fuses in the main cabinet. Alternatively you can unplug the green power plug directly at the HOMIP. Both possibilities are indicated in the following pictures

[B] The SD-card access connection is located on the top-side at the back of the HOMIP. [C] The SD-card can be simply removed by pushing gently in the direction of the access
connection. [D] The log-files are located in a folder in the root directory of the SD-card. They are stored in
different types of subfolders for each tank of the system installed and for the inertial measurement system. Every day a new set of log-files is saved in a monthly folder and every month new subfolders are created. Depending on the number of tanks, the files are stored in the following notation:
a. TF_log_HOS1-yyyy-mm\ TF_log_HOS1-yyyy-mm-dd.log (inertial measurement of roll) b. TF_log_TK1-yyyy-mm\ TF_log_TK1-yyyy-mm-dd.log (parameters tank 1) c. TF_log_TK2-yyyy-mm\ TF_log_TK2-yyyy-mm-dd.log (parameters tank 2) d. TF_log_TK3-yyyy-mm\ TF_log_TK3-yyyy-mm-dd.log (parameters tank 3) e. …
[E] Copy all folders including text files to an alternative storage medium and provide the files to Hoppe Marine.
[F] After successful copying of the files please insert empty SD-card into the HOMIP. [G] The power off the HOMIP can be switched back on and the log-function will proceed
automatically.

2.2 Remote Access to SD Card
Another possibility to access the files on the SD card is possible from the Main Cabinet. In case when the Bridge PLC is difficult to reach for example, it might be the easier way to download the data via a patch cable.
1. Change IP address of your Computer, in order to be integrated in the “Flume network”. (See section Error! Reference source not found. in F-07868-00027-SB, if you do not know exactly how to change the IP adress)
2. Connect patch cable to Ethernet switch in the main cabinet
3. Open a normal internet Browser and type in the IP address of the PLC (HOMIP):
192.168.2.101

3 Software update and parameters safe and restore
This section describes how to save and restore parameters and how to update the Hoppe Marine PLC, HOMIP. For information of the software installed at the moment, press on the “FLUME” logo on the start screen. Software update files and parameter files for the updates have to be installed on a USB stick. The files have to be installed directly on the stick (root directory) and not in any folders. Otherwise, the files are not accessible by the PLC. Before any update of software or parameters is possible, this USB stick must be connected to the HOMIP PLC. Use the USB ports (port 2) below the display unit, to connect the USB device.
Insert the USB-stick into the middle slot (2) at HOMIP
3.1 Software Update (Select File)
Before making a software update, it is recommended to save a parameter file on an USB stick -
Section 3.3. If any settings are getting lost during the software update, you can restore them easily
be reloading this parameter file.
