• WeproposedthesideeffecthypothesisofemotionalspeechproductionandevaluateditbyMRIexperiments.• Theeffectsonthespeechorganconfigurationinthespeakingandnonspeakingstatesweresimilarforemotions.• Thehypothesiswassupportedindirectly.
