The Tzu Chi “Ripple Effect”

• Each year Tzu Chi recycles over 2,000 tons of PET bottles--about 140,000,000-- as raw material for blankets, clothing etc. * More than 600,000 blankets have been delivered to people in need, in dozens of countries.

• Over 5,400 Tzu Chi recycling stations around Taiwan are staffed by over 76,000 volunteers, who sort bottles and other recyclables.
