Trek Budget and Payment Schedule (Tentative)

Payment Schedule:

• $800 Check Deposit due Next Friday (26th, March) to secure your spot in the trek!

• The final payment schedule and amounts will be released soon

• Total amount is subject to change due to potential schedule adjustments and further budget negotiation

Trek costs $3,197

Includes:

• Accommodation: 13 nights

• All China domestic Airfare

• Alumni reception and farewell party

• Group tours

• All group meals

• Group ground transportation

Excludes:

• International flights to and from China

• Optional tours (~$150)

• Travel documents (passport, visa, etc)

• Insurance

How to Join China Trek

• Sign Up Time and Procedure:

– Webcafe sign-up opens at 9pm March 22 (next Mon) and closes at 12am March 23

– You need to purchase GCC membership on WGA to access the sign-up link

– Sign-up fast!!! We ONLY have 30 spots

– First 20 spots: first come, first serve; Remaining 10 spots: awarded by lottery

– Results will be announced on March 23

– Partners are welcome!

• You need to tell us the following when signing-up:

– Your roommate sharing preferences

– Your dietary requirements

– Your No.1 and No.2 preferences for the Shanghai optional tours

Please arrange your own flight…

• Arrive in Beijing on May 20th (Beijing Time)

– Hotel accommodation on May 20th is included in the package

– Keep in mind that Beijing time is one day ahead, schedule a flight leaving on May 19th

• Depart from Shanghai on June 2nd (or later)

– For flights with many participants a bus from the hotel to the airport can be arranged

Departure – Shanghai Pudong Airport to Philadelphia

Departure – Shanghai Pudong Airport to Hong Kong (Estimated Cost: $320 – one way)
