• CPCC offers almost 300 degree, diploma and certificate programs, customized corporate training, market-focused continuing education, and hundreds of special interest classes.

• CPCC’s vision: “To be the national leader in workforce development.”

• CPCC is focused on student success and workforce development.

• $280 million in Mecklenburg County bonds and other construction funds will allow college to add approximately 900,000 square feet of space by 2019.

History• CPCC founded in 1963, in the Central High School

building on Elizabeth Avenue.

• One of the earliest of North Carolina’s 58 community colleges.

• Opened with 23 degree and diploma programs.
