Step 1: Peel off old wallpaper, revealing remaining glue and residue.

Step 2: Apply wallpaper remover to soften remaining glue.

Step 3: Scrape all glue and residue off walls.

Step 4: Check newly scraped walls for seams, cracks and wall damage that will need skim coating.

Step 5: Apply at least two layers of skim coat, to areas with damage. Sanding in between coats may benecessary for a smooth finish.

Step 1: Identify cracks, bubbling/peeling paint.

Step 2: Dig out cracks or scrape bubbling/peeling paint.

Step 3: Scrape until all loose pieces have been removed.

Step 4: Apply at least two layers of skim coat to scraped areas. Sanding in between coats may be necessary for a smooth finish.

Skim coated area. Area has been sanded and dust has been wiped off. Ready to be primed and painted.

Step 5: Apply oil based primer and two coats of paint.
