AIRTRON is microprocessor based airflow & pressure
transmitter which measure air velocity with pitot tubes,
and duct static or differential pressure in HVAC control
system applications.
The AIRTRON consist of temperature compensated
low differential pressure sensing module, auto - zeroing
valve & circuit and state of the art digital electronics
in the transmitter which has industry standard output
signal for remote monitoring and control.

Operating Principal
Type FP airflow measuring probe consists of multiple sets
of fechheimer pitot total and static pressure sensing ports,
positioned along the length of the probe to traverse the duct
cross-section, average the sensed pressures in separate
internal manifolds, and provide a measurement of velocity
pressure accurate within 2% of actual flow when the quantity
of the probes and the location in the duct are in accordance
with our minimum installation requirements.
Type FP is available in externally mounted, insertable/removable
and Internally mounted versions to fit the needs of both new
installation and retrofit applications.

Airflow
Type FP airflow measuring probe utilize self averaging, multi points
pitot technology which produces differential pressure from a total
and dual offset static pressure ports of air movement of duct or pipe.
Total pressure sensing ports (Pt) are located on the leading surface
of the probe which effects on dynamic pressure to induce total
pressure by velocity of airflow. Static pressure sensing ports (Ps)
are positioned at angles offset from the flow normal vector, minimize
the error including effect of turbulent airflow. i.e.One static sensor is
exposed to a higher pressure, the other static sensor exposed a
lower pressure of the same magnitude, this elimination of the undesired
effect of partial total pressure is assuring the accurate and stable
measurement without airflow straightener upstream.

Airflow measurement is highly dependent upon the quantity and
pattern of sensing points of the duct crosssectional area in the
airstream, we recommend quantity of airflow senising depend on
within 2% accuracy. the airflow element should be installed
where greater distance of straight duct than shown below.
duct size in accordance with measurement standard (ASHRAE
fundamentals, AMCA publication 203, etc) shown below guide
line for the measurement accuracy within 1-2% of actual airflow.
