ハッカソンとは？Hack と Marathon を組み合わせた造語

「ハック」という言葉には、（正規な手段だけでなく）様々な工夫を凝らすことで、目的を達成する意味がある。 この言葉と「マラソン」という、決まった時間内に集中してゴールまで走り切るイベントを組み合わせた言葉。 一般的に、チームで集まって短期間でアプリケーションやサービスのプロトタイプをクリエイティブに作成する開発者イベントの事を差す。

ハッカソンで得られる効果

• 短期間で動作するプロトタイプ作成を目指す為、課題解決の方向性が正しいかどうかを確認しやすくなる

• 1日や2日で動作するものを作ることを目指すので、サービスコンセプトの中で重要な部分のみに集中する必要がある

• 実装のためのディスカッションを通じ、アプローチする課題についての知識が深まる

• 大勢の人と議論する為、真の課題を発見しやすくなる • 参加者同士の一体感が高まる
