• The purpose of the introductory phone calls is to:
o Arrange a suitable meeting time to undertake stakeholder interviews in Port Hedland.
o Confirm the suitability of suggested grouping of stakeholders (refer below).
o Provide a general overview of the project, timeframes and engagement process.
• A Briefing Paper has also been provided to CRG Members and other key stakeholders. The Briefing Paper
serves as an information package for stakeholders to familiarise themselves with the project and to
inform meaningful discussion during the engagement processes.
• Stakeholder interviews will be undertaken in small groups based on similar areas of interest, needs and
expectations:
o Economic / Resource-based Industry
o Environment / Culture / Tourism Experience
o Sea Sport / Sea Rescue
o Community
*Groupings to be confirmed during introductory calls.
• Stakeholder interviews will be facilitated by TBB with representatives from the Town of Port Hedland and
LandCorp also in attendance.
• Stakeholder interviews will be undertaken on either 27th or 28th of August dependant upon availability of
individuals.
• It is intended that the interviews will occur at the Town of Port Hedland offices during the hours of 8am to
6pm, however after-hours meetings times will be available if necessary.
• Provide the opportunity for stakeholders to contact the Town of Port Hedland Project Officer or TBB
should there be any queries or comments ahead of the stakeholder interviews occurring.
