Since its inception over 40 years ago, HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) has become thetool of choice for hazard identification and mitigation in industry where hazards are presentand need to be contained.

Our seminar, which is peer reviewed by industry experts, will present key principles of theHAZOP technique, for both team members and prospective leaders.

The course is presented in a highly participative format. The trainer will start with some basicprinciples, requiring interaction and discussion with the delegates. Video case studies,discussions and interactive analyses will ensure that the course content is both engagingand interesting.

Registration & coffee will start at 8:00am on Day One. The course will run for 3 days, starting daily at 8:30am and finishing for lunch at 2:30 pm. There will be one coffee break,one prayer break and a seated buffet lunch on each day.

The seminar Instructor has spent 30 years with industry leaders such as BP, KBR andFoster wheeler. He has held high level Process Safety, technical, operations, proposalsand training positions. He graduated with an Honours Degree in ChemicalEngineering from Edinburgh University in 1986. He was subsequently awarded anMBA from Aston University in 1997. Furthermore, he was elected a Fellow of theInstitute of Chemical Engineers in 2014.

He combines a strong technical background, proven management and facilitationcredentials and robust communication skills. He has leveraged the use of theseassets to achieve success in the industry posts he has held to date in his career. Hehas recent experience as HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, HAZID and SIMOPs Leader for severalleading Oil Industry company. In addition, he has held senior proposals posts in twomajor Oil Industry contractors (FW/KBR) for 5+ years, giving him a broad overview ofdesign and operations requirements.
