Mercazaragoza: Food logistics platformMercazaragoza is a semi–private company made up of the City Council and Empresa Nacional Mercasa. It began operations in 1972. Today, these two shareholders control 99% of the company, 51% in the hands of City Hall. Its activity is food distribution, in particular the promotion, building up and running of the Central Wholesalers Market of ZaragozaMercazaragoza operates using a modern food–distribution model, and also enjoys certain other advantages, strategic location, road and rail access, intermodality, available space, as well as having a Business Centre and Food College. It is also a member of the Mercas network, with 23 centres in Spain, which gives important synergies. Every day, 2,430 transport vehicles access the Food Unit. The total area of the Food Unit is 700,000 m2, of which 95,000m2 are still available for businesses and services

Maritime Terminal of Zaragoza: Barcelona port delegationZaragoza Maritime Terminal (TMZ), operating since 2007, is an initiative driven by the City Council, the Government of Aragon, Mercazaragoza, and the Port of Barcelona (APB), along with other private partners like Renfe. The aim is that Zaragoza becomes an open port to the sea, connected by rail directly to Barcelona Port.Zaragoza Maritime Terminal (TMZ) has a rail platform of 121,483 m2, including a heavy loading area, warehouses and cold stores. A new Logistics Activity Zone (ZAL) has also been developed.

It was the first real logistics area in the city.
